About
Sora Yeji (Elisabeth Sora Yeji Schäffter) is a visual artist and creative director working with film, 2D animation and mixed media. Her work moves freely between genres: experimental short films and installations, music videos, documentaries and commercials – often with Sora handling direction, camera, animation, edit, colour and sound herself.
In 2020 she began studying Moving Image at AKI ArtEZ University of the Arts in Enschede, Netherlands, and graduated cum laude in July 2024 with the installation “The More You Know”. In 2023 she spent an exchange at the Korea National University of the Arts (K-Arts) in Seoul, where she directed her first short film with a larger production team.
Alongside her studies she has worked freelance since 2020 – on music videos for musicians, explainer and animation videos for YouTube channels, and collaborations with dancers, musicians and fellow filmmakers, including her brother, the musician Sori.
